In 2003, we built this company on a foundation of quality and integrity, dedicating ourselves to providing clients with the best service the construction industry has to offer. Our founder, Chris Stuart, started this company with more than 30 years of contracting experience under his belt, and he used that experience to create a construction firm unlike any other in Baton Rouge. Today, we are a company with exceptional skills and strong values that have molded Stuart & Company into one of the best general contractors in South Louisiana.

President & CEO

After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, Chris Stuart began his career in the construction industry at Buquet & Leblanc, where he went on to become an owner of the company until 2003. He founded Stuart & Company that same year, using his passion and unparalleled leadership skills to grow the company into the contracting firm it is today.

Duane L. Mizell

Vice President & COO

Duane received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 2006. After graduation, Duane joined the team at Stuart & Co. as a Project Manager, excelling in all job roles that came with the title, including estimating, value engineering, and client/vendor relations. His strong leadership skills helped him move up to his current role of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Tyler J. Tramonte

Vice President of Estimating

Tyler joined Stuart & Company in 2009 after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. Over the years he has developed his skills as a Project Estimator, estimating commercial projects from design to completion with detailed budgets through every phase of construction. His experience and passionate work ethic have cemented strong relationships with clients and vendors alike and helped him reach the role of Vice President of Estimating.
